Armadillo 16 Toastmaster: Bradley Denton

BRADLEY DENTON, who lives in greater Austin, has been creating his own special brand of speculative fiction for the past several years. His first novel, Wrack and Roll (1986), was an intriguing rock-and-roll alternate history that earned him a nomination for the Campbell award for best new SF writer. Denton's second novel, Buddy Holly is Alive and Well on Ganymede (1991), won the prestigious John W. Campbell Memorial Award for best SF novel, and earned Denton comparisons to Philip K. Dick and Kurt Vonnegut. His most recent novel, Blackburn (1993), is an indescribably delightful journey into the mind and life of a serial killer. We know it's indescribable because at the last FACT book discussion, everyone liked the book a lot but no one could fully articulate why.

This bio was written by A. T. Campbell III.
