Charity Auction

This year's charity is the Allen Babcock Dog and Cat Rescue, Inc. of South Florida, a no-kill 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization. The Babcock Rescue takes in injured and abused animals, gets them the necessary veterinary care that they need, and then finds them homes after their rehabilitation. They take in animals most other rescue groups will not take in, and fill an important need within the South Florida animal rescue community. They do not get their veterinary services for free, and as a result, operate on a very tight budget.

The Babcock Rescue was founded by my father, Allen Babcock after he retired from Bell South in 1997. He was able to devote a lot of time and energy to this group. My father passed away earlier this year, and the Babcock Rescue is trying very hard to honor his legacy, but it has been a difficult transition for them, and they need donations more than ever.

Any items that would be of interest to ArmadilloCon's members will be gratefully accepted as donations. This can include (but is not limited to) DVDs, CDs, videos, books (of course), galleys, art prints, jewelery, small art objects, genre-related toys, and pretty much anything else that fans would like.

Items for the charity auction may be mailed in advance of ArmadilloCon, or dropped off at con at the FACT table just inside the Dealer's Room.
